Oh boy…me and my toys. I got an itch when I went into the hobby shop the other day. Let me tell you a story. Continue reading »
Techdirt get’s the most interesting dirt.
This whole “net neutrality” thing is just that…lack of competition. It’s another ploy by the “regulated” company politico’s to keep them alive using taxpayer moola.
The first article describes from a former Telco exec point of view. One interesting point is the fact that there is a lobby against Google for some reason and the author points out that Google pays like the rest of us to access the “net”. What’s interesting is they pay telcos.
The second article talks about not trusting anyone in this net neutrality debate.
For me, we need to be neutral (packets are and will be packets) and NOT allow the telcos or any other monopolistic monger hoard our internet.
Interesting topic.
Just days after the 1st one of the record breaking 2005 season, Alberto is making an impact on the E Central area of Florida. The area from Englewood, FL to the Suwannee River is under a tropical storm warning. The wind and rain has already started causing problems in the region with more impact expected as Alberto makes a move more towards the east today.
Of course, procrastination has the best of me. I wanted to get my weather station running before the 1st one arrives, but I procrastinated. I’ll have it up later this week and will start posting weather to jpugh.org shortly thereafter. What fun.
Ah…a good excuse to be inside working on procrastinated projects today. I don’t feel so bad now!
We went to the Dr today. They both gained some weight from the last assessment at the hospital. Both are doing well. Nate has some jaundice which is usual for newborns (especially those who are breastfeeding). For the most part, things are going fairly good. They sleep during the day and stay up at night. Hoping to ease them into a better routine in the next 10-14 days. It’s slowly working. They are ravenous constantly which is a good thing.
Wow. One is a cinch compared to two. Two of everything..yikes! They are doing what newborns do…eat, cry, sleep, poop, and pee. Oh boy. Last night was a good night, but I’m sure that will change! They are very beautiful boys (go figure) and are doing well. Off to the dr tomorrow to see how well they are doing since they were a bit early!
I never published sizes and weights…here they are
Nick was born a 9:01p ET, weighed 5lbs 11oz and was 18.5in long. Nathan was born at 9:00p ET, weighed 5lbs 6oz and was 19in long.
We are now home from the hospital. Sleepless nights will continue. Liz had Nick and Nate at 9pm on 2 June by c-section. They didn’t want to come out and she was exhausted from 30 hours of labor. We’re all doing well.
For all good men…sorry couldn’t resist.
The pregnant wife is headed to the hospital. More to come.
